(AGI) - Cagliari, 25 lug. - Casic e Regione sarda si sono impegnati a intervenire sul ministero dell’Ambiente per rendere disponibile l’area nella zona industriale di Macchiareddu (Cagliari), dove potrebbe essere realizzato il progetto di riconversione dell’ex zuccherificio di Villasor. Se n’e’ parlato oggi in un incontro all’assessorato all’Industria cui hanno partecipato rappresentanti della Regione, il presidente della Provincia di Cagliari, Graziano Milia, il sindaco di Villasor, Walter Marongiu, gli amministratori dell’Eridania-Sadam e della PowerCrop, e i delegati delle segreterie regionali, provinciali e delle Rsu dell’Eridania-Sadam.L’area assegnata dal Casic alla societa’ PowerCrop per la costruzione di una centrale e’ inserita nel sito di interesse ambientale nazionale “Sulcis-Iglesiente-Guspinese” e per l’avvio dei lavori e’ necessario liberare l’area dal vincolo.
Il progetto di riconversione dell’ex zuccherificio prevede che Powercop realizzi un impianto di generazione elettrica a ciclo combinato della potenza di circa 50 MWe, costituito da due sezioni di cui una alimentata da biomassa lignocellulosica, l’altra da olio vegetale, e di un altro impianto per l’estrazione dell’olio: a questo sara’ associato una terza struttura a biogas.
Il sindaco di Villasor ha confermato la disponibilita’, qualora l’area assegnata non risultasse idonea all’insediamento produttivo di riconversione, ad ospitare l’iniziativa nell’area dell’ex Zuccherificio.
Le parti, non appena ricevuta comunicazione dal Casic, saranno riconvocate dall’assessorato all’Industria. (AGI)
